I’m Dr. Amy Coopersmith, and I love helping children discover their inner superheroes.

As an educator, advocate, and children’s mental health specialist, I’ve spent my career championing the rights of all children, especially neurodivergent youth, to have a voice, make choices, and be treated with dignity and respect.

I created Captain Me to turn big ideas about self-determination into playful stories, music, and characters that kids can truly connect with and enjoy. Through my work as an occupational therapist, I advocate for learning environments that nurture autonomy, confidence, and emotional well-being. I believe every child deserves the tools and support to succeed in their own unique way, and to feel proud of who they are.
